Portable appliance testing (P A T)

All employers are required by law to ensure all portable appliances are tested to ensure they are working correctly and that all of the safety features are working. Compliance will ensure that appliances do not present a hazzard to staff or other members of the public.
Normally the testing is carried out annually but incases where exception or heavy use is likely to occurr (for example on building sites or infactories where heavy equipment is used) this may need to be increased to six monthly or three monthly intervals.

All results are available in electronic and paper form.
